I am going to squash any accusations on whether Bielema made the right decision to call time out at the end of the game on Saturday. HE ABSOLUTELY MADE THE RIGHT DECISION! We had all the momentum, we had them right where we wanted them, and he was playing to win the game.

It was 2nd and 20 and our defense was all over them. Had we stopped them and gotten the ball back and scored, everyone would have praised his decision making. I would prefer our coach to have an aggressive mindset compared to a coach who is playing not to lose.
I think Adam Rittenberg also made a great pint Bielema has been an aggressive coach the past couple years and this time it came back to bite us. Regardless, we should have been able to stop the hail mary.
ReplyDeleteIf the correct call had been made on the false start that third down it would have been thought of as a good call.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention the facemask
ReplyDeleteWe beat ourselves boys... 2 blocked kicks?! why cant we play a normal game in East Lansing?!?!? #stillcrying
ReplyDeleteand a safety.
ReplyDeleteall that may be true but i disagree...not the right call there...be happy that Sconi came back to tie it up, take your chances in OT...it was a wierd, sloppy game up til that point..dont mess around like that...hail mary doesnt happen if that timeouts not called
